Axis Man Quits for Start Up
Oct 12, 2006
Mark Huxley, group services director at loss adjuster Axis, has left the company, Insurance Times has learned.
Huxley left earlier this month to set up his own consultancy company, Ask & Consult.
He has even signed up his former employers as his first customer.
Peter Shortland, chief executive of Axis, said Huxley's exit from Axis was "very amicable".
He said: "Mark had wanted to become a consultant for some time and we had been talking about how we can make that work between us. He is valuable to us."
Shortland said Axis did not want to lose Huxley's input so decided to become Ask & Consult's first customer.
